Following the strategic plans of the systematic development of the Kaluga manufacturing enterprise, deepening localization and increasing local production volumes, Stellantis launched a number of major projects in 2021 that will contribute to the successful implementation of this strategy in the future. They include localization of a new platform to produce Peugeot, Citroёn and Opel mini-vans and passenger compact vans with the assembly of six models introduced; series assembly of export-oriented diesel engines; creation of a PSMA Rus-based export hub for the supply of commercial vehicles and engines to international markets.

By the end of 2022, the plant is planning to start assembling manual transmissions and a commercial Fiat Scudo for export.

According to Xavier Duchman, Senior Vice President of Stellantis, Head of the Eurasia Region, “the high quality of Russian assembly and production efficiency are the decisive factors that yielded the PSMA Rus plant’s winning the tender for the supply of LCV segment vehicles outside Russia and contributing to satisfying the worldwide demand for this class of vehicles.”
