A polymer additives plant has been launched in the Vorsino Industrial Park. The volume of investments in the project exceeded 1 billion rubles. Of these, almost half — 500 million rubles — are funds of a preferential loan from the federal Industrial Development Fund under the Development Projects program.

The company has commissioned a high-speed production line that can produce chalk fillers and white masterbatches for plastics. Capacity — up to 60 thousand tons per year. The plant will operate almost entirely on domestic raw materials.
With the company reaching full capacity, Nikator plans to reduce the share of imports for chalk fillers to 15-20% and to 35-40% for other superconcentrates. Now these additives are mainly purchased abroad. According to the company’s assessment, foreign products make up 70% of the Russian market of chalk fillers for plastic, about 50% — masterbatches.
The main consumers are manufacturers of polyethylene packaging, plastic pipes and various plastic products. The addition of chalk fillers allows to reduce the cost of finished products, give the product the necessary properties, for example, strengthen the sound insulation of pipes, as well as accelerate the decomposition of plastics. Superconcentrates are used in the production of various plastic goods — tableware, toys, cover-ups, bags, pipes and others — for coloring and giving the desired properties.
