Kaluga Region and the Republic of Austria Discussed Prospects for their Cooperation at the Conference of the Regions of Europe in Salzburg

A working meeting of the head of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha and Dmitry Lyubinsky, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Austria, was held during the 17th Conference of European Regions in Salzburg. The meeting was held to discuss the prospects of cooperation between the Kaluga Region and Austria.

The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Potemkin, Deputy Governor, and Head of the Office of the Kaluga region Government under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Vladislav Shapsha thanked Dmitry Lyubinsky for his invitation to participate in the 17th Conference of European Regions and the Sochi Dialogue held within it, as well as for his personal contribution to the constructive relations between Russia and Austria.

The head of the region noted that the Kaluga region is interested in mutually beneficial partnership with Austrian colleagues not only in terms of their trade and economic cooperation, but in culture, tourism, education, medicine, and youth exchange.
