The Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Kaluga Region is carefully monitoring how the socio-economic situation in the region develops, what tools are being introduced at the federal level, what businesses need to be assisted now and in what industries. It works continuously to keep communication with business, and the commission to ensure the sustainable development of the economy. The regional support mechanisms are being improved as quickly as possible, and the most effective and tailored solutions are being selected.

As Deputy Governor Vladimir Popov noted, a number of enterprises in the Kaluga region have already announced the expansion of production capacities and additional recruitment: “Kronospan is actively recruiting employees. It has launched the first stage of the MDF/HDF Slab Plant at the Lyudinovo site of the Kaluga SEZ at the end of last year; Hayat, which has recently started commissioning of resource-saving equipment at the Borovsky site of the SEZ; Bosco, which expanded its production capacity earlier this year.”

The following enterprises are also actively developing:

— Kaluga Turbine Works, which started upgrading its equipment last year. This year, the company announced that it is about to expand its production and additionally recruit 400 employees.

— Center-Trade is going to produce TM RESHNASTIL building materials at full capacity. In the near future they will need at least 70 more workers. They regard the current situation as an opportunity to significantly replace the production of grating used in all areas of construction, which means increasing the company’s the Russian market share and providing key construction sites with modern, high-quality materials produced in the Kaluga region.

— Naturel is nearing completion of the perfumes and cosmetics plant and is also recruiting staff. The plant is located on the Borovsk site of the Kaluga SEZ.

— KF Vkusprom sees new prospects in the sales market after foreign brands quit and is going to enter the site in a short time to start construction work. It should be reminded that the company obtained the resident status of the Kaluga SEZ at the end of last year.
