HAYAT Russia — the Russian division of the HAYAT GROUP holding, has launched a new line for the production of paper towels under the Focus brand at its Kaluga plant. Investments in the project amounted to over 150 million rubles.

A modern automated line has launched the production of V-folded paper towels intended for use outside the home — in hotels, restaurants, enterprises, educational and medical institutions, business centers, etc. Like all the company's paper products, towels are made from 100% cellulose, which HAYAT Russia buys exclusively from Russian suppliers.

All towels are produced in group polyethylene packages, which increases the safety of the goods and convenience during transportation. In Russia, this packaging technology was first used by Hayat at the Kaluga plant.

With the launch of the new line, the company expects to meet the demand for high-quality paper and hygiene products, as well as to increase the availability of its products — both in Russia and in the CIS countries.

The General Director of HAYAT Russia Metin Mete noted: "Today our company is one of the leading players in the Russian market of sanitary and hygienic products, including for professional use. New investments in the production site in Kaluga are designed to strengthen our position and increase the HAYAT market share in the AFH (away-from-home) segment. Thanks to the opening of a new line, we have the opportunity to significantly expand the range of professional sanitary products made in Russia from local raw materials. Thus, we will not only continue to offer our customers high-quality and innovative world-class solutions for professional use at competitive prices, but also ensure uninterrupted supply."

Vladimir Popov, Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region, stressed: "The launch of a new line at the Kaluga KHAYAT plant is a significant event that fully meets our common interests aimed at building a strong and profitable business in the region, producing high—quality products in demand on the Russian market. Constant investments in development, high quality management and innovative approach have already allowed the company to become a recognized leader in its segment. We are interested in making every stage of the KHAYAT project in Kaluga Region successful, so we will continue to provide our comprehensive support."

The HAYAT Russia plant in Kaluga Region has been operating since December 2021, its production capacity is 70 thousand tons of products per year, which allowed the company to become the largest manufacturer of paper and hygiene products in Russia, producing up to 210,000 tons of products per year.

The company operates in accordance with an ecological approach to production. HAYAT Russia's eco-strategy includes efficient use of natural resources, waste management and reduction of environmental impact. The plant is equipped with modern pollution and noise control systems, which allows timely monitoring of any changes.
